The Bodyguard Tickets

Adelphi Theatre

Bringing the legacy of Whitney Houston’s music career and most famous acting role to the stage, The Bodyguard is a stage adaptation of the 1992 Grammy Award-winning film of the same name. Following Academy Award-nominated actress and singer, Rachel Marron, the story sees her seemingly perfect life placed in jeopardy when she attracts the attention of a stalker.

The Bodyguard celebrates the sensational musical career of Whitney Houston in an on stage adaptation of her best-known film. Making its world debut at the Adelphi Theatre, The Bodyguard is one of the most popular West End attractions.

Based on the 1992 film, The Bodyguard tells the tale of actress Rachel Marron, who was originally played by Houston. Living a seemingly perfect life, it is revealed that behind closed doors, Rachel is a single mother who is bringing up her son whilst juggling a demanding job. When a stalker emerges, Rachel is forced to hire a bodyguard in the form of Frank Farmer, an ex-Secret Service agent who worked for two former presidents. Initially, the pair struggle to get along, but it soon becomes clear that their relationship is not simply professional.

Containing songs from the Grammy Award-winning film, The Bodyguard features a huge amount of well-known Houston hits. Stand-out numbers include ‘Queen of the Night’, ‘Saving All my Love’, ‘Run to You’, ‘I Have Nothing’, ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’ and the heart-wrenching ‘I Will Always Love You’.

Originally starring Heather Headley as Rachel Marron and Debbie Kurup as Nicki Marron, who were both nominated for Olivier Awards, The Bodyguard saw Beverley Knight receive her West End debut. Starring as Rachel, Knight received huge critical acclaim before X Factor winner Alexandra Burke took over the role and embarked on a UK tour. The Bodyguard is adapted for the stage by Alexander Dinelaris and is directed by Thea Sharrock and choreographed by Arthur Pita, with design by Tim Hatley, lighting by Mark Henderson, sound by Richard Brooker and video by Duncan McLean.
