Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon Tickets: A Teenage Rollercoaster

Did anyone really enjoy their teen years? Relive - if you dare - the ups and downs of being 17 as Rosie Day’s tragicomic book Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon comes to the West End, starring Bridgerton’s Charithra Chandran as an obnoxious but troubled teen grieving the loss of her older sister. Witty, dark and unnervingly relatable, it premiered on stage at Southwark Playhouse in 2022 and now comes to the West End’s Garrick Theatre for a limited season.

About Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon

After her sister’s shocking and untimely death by Yorkshire Pudding, a teenage misfit reluctantly joins a scout group. The mission? To help her navigate the ups, downs, and kicks in the teeth that come with adolescence. Only some of it is successful, however…

Rosie Day’s hilarious book is adapted into a stage show that takes us on a rollercoaster journey through youth, one scout badge at a time. Packed with black humour, cringe-inducing encounters and a heartfelt reflection on the turmoil of growing up, this is a must-see for anyone who wants to toss away the rulebook and reconnect with their younger self.

Charithra Chandran in Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon

Fresh from her star-making turn as Edwina Sharma in Bridgerton, Charithra Chandran makes her West End debut in this darkly funny one-woman show. She is directed by Georgie Staight, who led the show’s original, OffWestEnd Awards-nominated run at Southwark Playhouse’s The Little stage.

The creative team also includes set and costume designer Jasmine Swan, lighting designer Rory Beaton, video designer Dan Light and associate director Hanna Khogali.
