“Everyone’s perspective is different, and only certain perspectives count.”

These words resonate from new play Imposter 22 at the Royal Court Theatre, as seven co-creators take to the stage in a powerful show about neurodiversity. Both funny and frank, this is a must-see for fans of new writing.

About Imposter 22

“We need to start at the start. Yes, yes, we do or the Neurotypicals will be confused”.

So begins Imposter 22, a dark and playful show about appropriation, navigating barriers in society, the politics of neurodiversity and the power of sharing a platform together. Based on the lived experience of its co-creators and cast, and an original idea by director Hamish Pirie, it is described as a landmark moment for learning disabled and autistic led theatre, as it is the first time that Access All Areas theatre company works with London’s famous home of new writing.

Did not really enjoy the show. Felt very disjointed and flat. I left half way through.
